Alpine Energy network boundaries are from the Rangitata River in the north, to the Waitaki River in the south, and from the East Coast to Mount Cook in the west. The area stretches over 10,000 km2
The network, including 4,138 km of overhead and underground electricity lines, transports electricity from the national electricity transmission grid, owned and operated by Transpower, to homes and businesses in the South Canterbury region.
